Iran Files Complaint Against US at UN Security Council: Iran has officially informed the United Nations Security Council about the United States’ new attacks on its territory. Iran has urged the Security Council to take immediate action in this matter and has warned the U.S. of serious consequences.
In a letter to the Security Council and the UN Secretary-General, Iran’s ambassador to the United Nations, Amir Saeid Iravani, strongly protested these U.S. actions. He called them a blatant violation of UN rules and international obligations. He said the United States has been repeatedly attacking Iran’s sovereignty and territorial integrity without any provocation.
The letter was sent exactly one day after the U.S. strikes on Iran’s southern regions. Those strikes caused heavy property damage and killed several Iranian military personnel. Immediately afterward, U.S. aircraft began attacking several other sites in the country’s south.

According to Iranian media, the new attacks targeted the southern city of Chabahar, damaging a hospital and electrical infrastructure. Attacks were also reported in other cities such as Iranshahr and Bushehr, where one person was reported killed.
The letter recalled that the U.S. actions also violated a mutual agreement reached between the two sides last month. That agreement, mediated by Pakistan, had followed more than a hundred days of attacks on Iran by the U.S. and Israel across the country.
Iran said that by repeatedly and deliberately breaking those commitments, the United States has effectively rejected the agreement. It said the U.S. is fully responsible for this unlawful conduct and for escalating tensions.
The letter stated that the incidents clearly show that the United States has no regard for international law. The Iranian ambassador appealed to the Security Council and the UN Secretary‑General to fulfill their responsibilities. He called for immediate, effective, and decisive measures to stop the U.S. and hold it accountable.

Mr. Iravani also expressed regret that the Council’s inaction in such cases has emboldened the United States. He said that is why the U.S. continues to use force against Iran, thereby weakening the Council’s credibility and endangering international peace and security. He warned that the United States alone would bear full responsibility for any consequences arising from these violations.
